Architect of the Mutiny. Strategist of the Unfolding.

For decades, I was the woman the world wanted me to be: the expert, the executive, the one who managed other people’s emergencies with professional precision. From the homeless-serving sector in Calgary to the front lines of corporate leadership, I mastered the art of being “the strong one”.

Then, the emergency moved inside my own home.

As the primary caregiver for my husband through the “slow-motion shipwreck” of late-stage COPD, I realized that my years of professional strategy couldn’t save me from the “Barnacle of Doom”- the weight of self-sacrifice that threatens to sink the soul of every woman who cares too much and asks for too little.

I realized I was living a story I didn’t write.

I was playing the role of the Saint . I was easy to manage, devoid of needs, and quietly starving while the world watched.

So, I staged a mutiny.

I decided to stop disappearing to prove my worth. I fired the Martyr and the “Good Girl”. I stopped being the story others were telling and became the one who charts the unfolding of her own.

The Mission

Today, from the ancestral territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation on Gabriola Island, I provide the roadmap for other women to do the same. Whether you are navigating a medical crisis or the universal trap of a life that no longer feels like yours, I give you the Hard Syntax to reclaim your sovereignty.

Through The Caregiver’s Mutiny and She Dares, I help women:

  • Kill off the performative Saint to reclaim the Sovereign Wolf within.
  • Defect from limiting narratives of what it means to age.
  • Craft a life of purpose, passion, and pizzazz – authentically on their own terms.

I am a TEDx speaker, a writer, and an artist as well as a certified coach and life strategist. But above all, I am a woman who reclaimed her marrow.

The shipwreck doesn’t have to be the end of your story. It’s just the place where you learn to take the wheel.
